W.I. Scott Purvis

 Built as "The Orient Bay" she was one of three sister ships ordered by Abitibi Pulp and Paper Company. The Orient Bay and Nipigon were fabricated in Sorel, QC, shipped to Lake Nipigon by rail and consewuently towed rafts of pulp wood. The 3rd Vessel was named Magpie (WJ Ivan Purvis). In 1975 the Orient Bay was purchased by Kimberly Clark Company and was moved overland to Longlac and became the Guy M No. 1. In 1982 the vessel was completely repowered. Purchased by Purvis Marine Ltd in 1990, she was moved overland to Lake Superior and works on the Great Lakes.
