The Great Tugboat Race

Pankhurst M

The Pankhurst M was built as a work tug in Little Current, Ontario for Ontario Hydro as Hydro Nanabush. In the late 1980's, she was sold to McIssac Mining and Tunneling in Sudbury. They used her near the Manitoba border for several years then returned her to Sudbury. Norm bought her in 1994. In his back yard he totally refurbished her with a new house, head, shower and bullworks. She was returned to service as the Pankhurst M in July 1998 and is now used mostly for pleasure but does the occasional charter tow.
